CONNECT TO ANOTHER PC USING REMOTE DESKTOP (RDP)

Connect to a Windows PC from another device

BEFORE YOU START

User account password configured
Remote Desktop enabled

STEP 1

Enable Remote Desktop

On the PC you want to connect TO:

System

   ↓

Remote Desktop

   ↓

Enable Remote Desktop

Click Confirm

STEP 2

Find The Computer’s IP Address

Open Command Prompt

Type: ipconfig (enter)

Look for IPv4 Address . . . . : 192.168.0.22

STEP 3

Test Network Connectivity

On the computer you will connect FROM:

ping 192.168.0.22

Ensure successful ping response.

STEP 4

Launch Remote Desktop

  1. Press: Windows Key + R
  2. Type MSTSC (Enter)
  3. In the MSTSC application, enter the target computer IP address (192.168.0.22)
  4. Enter username & password
